Get carried away by the art and stories of the river at this beautiful riverside location in Henley on Thames.
The doors of the Museum’s award-winning David Chipperfield building open onto the enchanting family-friendly Wind in the Willows gallery, the only UK gallery dedicated to the work of local Modern British artist John Piper, the history of Henley, riverbank wildlife conservation, and the international sport of rowing.
Visitors can engage with interactive displays and gallery trails as well as changing special exhibitions and displays. The Rowing Room Café terrace overlooks Mill Meadows, and the Museum shop celebrates local suppliers, specialising in books and games, fashion and craft.
A short walk from the centre of Henley on Thames, the Museum is also a level 5-minute walk from Henley on Thames railway station. The Museum is fully accessible to wheelchair users. Parking is available (charges apply).
