From Porcupine quills to Puffer fish, Kingfishers to Kiwi birds, the ‘A-Z of Natural History’ features over 200 insects, mammals, birds and fish.

The Geology gallery shows life in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight from the Cretaceous to the Paleogene time period spanning over 130 million years. Our Observational Beehive lets visitors glimpse the inner workings of a busy hive throughout the year.

Our purpose-built greenhouse is home to brightly coloured butterflies from Central and South America. Other butterflies that can be seen throughout the season (May-September) include Glasswings, Malachites, Shoemakers, Swallowtails and Longwings.
